This route reveals one of the most striking corners of the Lagunillas Sanctuary: a natural viewpoint where the Colorado Valley and the Maipo Valley meet, opening together toward the vastness of the Andes. After an initial 30-minute walk, you will reach a wide plateau, perfect for resting and contemplating the imposing San Lorenzo peak.
Accompanied by a specialized guide, the route combines gentle trekking, birdwatching, and panoramic views of peaks, glaciers, and unique geological formations. Over its 3 to 4 hours, you can fully enjoy the mountain landscapes of the area; on clear days, you may even glimpse the summits of El Plomo and Piuquencillo.
This excursion can be done year-round, and in winter the experience becomes even more special with the use of snowshoes when conditions require.
