From Hotel Las Majadas, we travel to the El Manzano sector in San José de Maipo to begin a hike through a sclerophyll forest typical of the central Andean foothills. After two to three hours of medium to high-intensity trekking, we reach the El Manzano Caves: unique rock formations that reveal part of the geological history of the Cajón del Maipo.
The route runs between the Manzano stream and the Colorado River, with access via Route G25. It can be done year-round; in winter, the presence of snow and snow-capped peaks makes the landscape even more striking. The trail passes along rock walls, climbing areas, and viewpoints that showcase the power of the Andes. Ideal for landscape and photography enthusiasts.
