On the way to the Yeso Valley, we encounter an Andean environment surrounded by peaks rising above 4,000 meters above sea level. From Pulpería El Arriero, we begin the ascent along a wide trail that reveals landscapes shaped by the last glacial era. After two hours of hiking, we reach the Andean meadows, where we take a break to enjoy the views and a box lunch prepared by our team. The return follows the same route.
The journey crosses much of the Cajón del Maipo before connecting with the Yeso Valley, traveling along the paved road to the starting point. The route passes through the Cortaderas Valley and culminates in a wide meadow with views of the Mesón Alto Glacier, Cerro Morado, and other iconic peaks.
This excursion is available only during spring and summer, as snowfall closes access during the winter season.
