Trekking El Morado glacier

We begin our journey from our hotel and head for the mountain village of Baños Morales. On our trip we will get to know different villages of San Jose de Maipo. This route goes along a paved road and takes about a 1,5-hour van ride until we reach the starting point of the trekking.

The trail follows a clear footprint. The walking distance is about 7 km with a 700 Mt height difference. It will take us about 3 hours to get to the highest excursion point (3.200 Mt). It is here you will be amazed by the beautiful hanging glacier El Morado, a mountain rising up to 4.600 Mt. We go back the same way and takes us about 2 hours.
