After leaving our hotel, we head for route G-25 through the El Toyo region, where we will pass through villages such as San Alfonso, El Ingenio and San Gabriel. From San Gabriel we will arrive to a gravelled road to access the El Yeso reservoir (approx. 30 km). From the El Romeral sector we will access the entrance of the Yeso Valley park bordering alongside the reservoir, where we will begin our 6 km trekking to one of the Marmolejo hill viewing points. This hill is 6.109 Mt high and is considered to be the most southern 6K of the world. Our journey includes amazing views of the Andes mountains and typical flora and fauna of the high mountain range.
We will cross the Yeso estuary, going through meadow plains and we will start our descent through a trail up to the viewing point (3.200 Mt). After we have rested a while, we will continue our descent and marvel at the views towards the El Yeso valley.
